Graphite (really Glassy Carbon) Formula: C (graphite) Core Loss

Submitted by David Muller, April 20, 2005.

Source / Purity: Combined test specimen, imaged parallel to c-axis of graphite particle

Author Comments: - Energy Axis is not calibrated, CCD point spread function has long tails, these have not be corrected for.- The ratio of the pi*/sigma* peaks depends on sample orientation (See Leapman and Silcox, PRL, V42, 1361 (1979)).- Note 0.7 eV split Analyst: David Muller (at Cornell University) 1995. Temperature: Room. BEAM/Crystal: parallel to c-axis.
